Day 11 - The Moody Eagle
Set out sailing with Sleder's crew on the Moody Eagle. Turtlemeat joined Chicklette, Yawl, Darrlin, Jynnie
and I for a bit of pillaging. Sleder was at the helm and we pulled in a few coins before landing at an
island to do some harvesting of wood and resources. Island was end of the line so I whisked home to have
someone help me bring my tresaure back home.
7,000p. Almost halfway to my sloop!
Day 12 - Huckabee and I get trounced
It wasn't our night.
We gave it our all, but our opponents were just all over us. Luckily we were able to
find humor in it and still keep our spirits up despite the string of defeats. We ended the night with a victory,
and even though it was just one for the night, it was a rather sweet one at that :)
Day 13 - Talonder and Tournaments
Brawling at the inn. Joined a tournament or two but my dirk and I were seriously outclassed.
Talonder and a crew of people came into record what looked like a commercial of sorts. An upcoming
tournament. They bustled out as quicklyas they bustled in. "Last Man Standing" contest. Have to watch for that one.
Day 14 - Better luck with Huck
Set sail again with Huckabee. Better luck this time around, and a marked improvement from the previous trip.
As always, Huck was a great person to sail with.
Set sail with Lokiss on the Lucky Silverside. Jobbers on this vessel had a lot of trouble with the concept of teaming,
and Lokiss was incredibly patient with them about it. In spite of the disorganized combat, we did pull off several victories.
Between the cash from this trip and the past week of work at the Ferocious Temper forge, I'm now just over the 9,000p mark.
If all goes well, I will be able to order a sloop in a week. EXCITED!
Day 15 - Collecting wages
Made the rounds to collect my wages at the Ferocious Temper and other shoppes.
Rounding up cash, I was able to cross the 10,000p mark!
Day 16 - Turtlemeat and Myrrima to the rescue!
Turtlemeat met with me on Turtle Island and lent me the extra money for my boat.
Between the two of us, we laid out 1500+ in transaction fees. The banks make a mint in this realm. :(
I asked the crew if any members had a stall at a shipyard, and Myrrima did me one better. She sold me a boat for
10,000p even! Yawl, Sleder, Myrrima, and a few other crew members got together on my new boat: The Well-Informed Guppy.
Sleder gave me some basic training and asked that I keep the boat docked unless I had another officer with me.
His concern was mostly for my own resources... didn't want me to lose a bunch of money to pillages and such.
Brei and I were made officers today. Looking forward to proving I'm worthy of the title.
Rumor has it that with promotions comes a greater hat selection at the shop. I think I will invest my saved fundage in a new hat!
